Southern Laos (Champasak-Pakse) August 8-9, 2016
This was a quick and unplanned (waterfall) trip with my mom and family. We were looking for something to do for a couple days. Then my mom talked with the local tour company at 7 pm on August 7th and we left 6 am on August 8th! Let's go! Good thing for this short trip was I didn't have to plan anything. We hired the same local tour company as when we visited Vang Vieng and Vientiane in 2012. We were picked up at 6 am. The first stop was for breakfast in Ubon Ratchatani. I liked the foods especially Patongo or Chinese Doughnut as I didn't have it for a long time! Yum! We arrived the border of Thai-Laos in about 90 minutes from the breakfast place. We walked across the border thru the under-ground bridge and the van was already in Laos side waiting for us!
